A quick Unicode lesson.
Joel wrote a nice about Unicode. Well, there are some catches that I need to save here.
in ASP, when using unicode and SQL, make sure you use the nvarchar, nchar, ntext datatypes. These are explicitly for unicode, and use 2 bytes to store every character.
make sure to specify utf-8 everywhere in the output [...]
Adobe SVG Viewer 6.0 Preview 1
Adobe has released SVG Viewer 6.0 Preview 1 Beta. Woohoo! It apparently increases support for SVG 1.0 and adds 1.2 stuff. How great!
Technocrati, Accessibility updates
I implemented the Technocrati API in a side box I entitled “Read Me”. I also made quite a few changes to other HTML parts of the website to make it more Accessibility compliant This website is now BOBBY Level A Approved, and is nearly AA and AAA. It will be soon.
