Iceland getting rid of Fossil Fuels

Iceland is going to remove all use of fossil fuels in favor of hydrogen-based fuel cells. They say it will only take a single generation.

A top scientist believes that the geothermal and hydroelectric electricity that they live off of could be used to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, allowing for a clean separation, rather than using propane, which many other fuel cells use. Shell happens to be one of three major corporations funding this.

This would, in the end, remove their reliance on any other country for fuel.

Wish our government was so smart.

Wow.

Got something to say? (one person did.)

It is not only Iceland but almost the whole world.Research on hydrogen and Oxygen or extraction from simple water through simple means will not only help getting rid of enviorental problems but will also put an end to wars and battles over oils or fossil feuls.I am sure a small fraction of funds that are being spent today on preparation of war arsenals and waging wars, can solve the problem and we will have cheapest energy
